The older the child, the narrower the door

Every programme has an age after which a child can no longer be included on the parents’ file. Count back the processing time and you get the date to file by. Many families discover this number a little late.

Only the eldest matters: that is the child who ages out first.

Canada, Australia, Singapore and the UAE are absent because our programme data does not yet record their age cut-off with an official source. We do not guess. Ask an adviser for those four.

Cut-offs follow each programme's standard rule; many countries allow exceptions for children in study or financially dependent. Processing times are the figures in our programme data, not a commitment. This is a tool to start the conversation, not to decide.
